A platform for extreme-scale multiphysics

From incompressible aerodynamics to two-phase combustion and biomedical flows, YALES2 couples a high-order unstructured solver core with a growing family of physics modules, all running efficiently from a laptop to tens of thousands of cores.

  • Computational infrastructure

Unstructured meshes with adaptive refinement, hybrid MPI/OpenMP parallelism scaling to 32,000+ cores, GPU acceleration via OpenACC, and 4th-order central finite-volume schemes with high-order extensions.
